How to make a Counting Carrots Sensory Bin
Step 1: Make the rainbow rice.
I made this sensory bin using my Taste-safe Rainbow Rice Recipe, although I only made green rainbow rice for this bin. It was easy to make the night before and it was all dry and ready to go by the next morning. I always use the taste-safe recipe because my baby girl loves to eat everything she can.

2. Make your Carrot garden.
I made the carrot garden out of an old egg carton and some green paint.
After I painted the old egg carton I numbered each of the segments from 1 to 12. I also numbered the craft carrots from 1 – 12 so that they could be matched.
My son practiced counting and matching the different numbers together. My baby girl just had fun playing with the rainbow rice and posting. She couldn’t match the numbers but did have fun putting the carrots into the egg cartons.
