How to make the Farm Animal Matching Game
1. Download and print the farm animal printable.
To grab your free copy, just head to the bottom of the post and follow the instructions.
2. Laminate the pages.
This step is optional. Laminating the pages will make the pieces more sturdy and drool proof. Which will be beneficial if your young children still love to put everything in their mouths.
3. Cut out each of the animals on the color version of the game.
Different Ways to Play
1. Match the farm animal to its shadow.
Match the color animal to the black shadow. This will help fine motor skills as your kids pick up and place the animal cards in the correct place.
2. Match the farm animal to its pair.
Print out two copies of the color version, and just match the animal. This is a great matching game for babies who are just getting started on their educational journey.
3. Turn it into a memory game.
Print out two copies of each page and cut them into the same size square. This is a fun game for older children to improve their memory skills.
4. Use them as flash cards
Picture cards are an easy way to help older babies and toddlers to learn the farm animal names. They’re perfect if you’re working on increasing your child’s vocabulary.
