How to set up a Pirate Treasure Sensory Bin

This sensory bin is so easy to set up. Especially if you already have a sand box like we do.

All you need to do is hide (and sprinkle some on top) some gold coins and jewels in the sand. You get bonus points if you have a treasure chest that the treasure can go into.

Then all you have to do is sit back while the kids play pirate and hunt for treasure.

My kids loved this activity. When they had found all of the treasure they then had fun posting it into their treasure chest as well as hiding the jewels all around the garden.

I treated my kids and let them have chocolate coins. However, since they enjoyed it so much I think that I’ll invest in a proper Pirate Treasure Play Set.

I still want them to have fun being pirates, but without having chocolate every time.
