How to Prepare and Play with your Autumn Play Dough Mats
1. Download and print the pdf file.
The Fall themed playdough mats can be downloaded below. Just head to the bottom of the post and look for the large blue button.
There are six different designs in this fun pack for your young children to choose from.
2. Laminate the playdough mats.
Laminating the playdough mats is a great way to make them more sturdy, reusable and easy to clean.
3. Collect the playdough and playdough props.
If you have some fall themed playdough props, such as leaf cookie cutters, then be sure to include them with your cute fall playdough mats.
4. Roll the playdough into snakes and balls.
This is a fantastic way for early learners to develop fine motor skills. All of that rolling, pinching and pulling to make the playdough into different shapes will help to strengthen your child’s hand muscles and develop hand-eye coordination.
5. Follow the lines of the mats.
Or you can fill in the pictures on the mat however you like. These playdough mats act as a starter to spark the imagination, don’t let them dictate how to play.
For example, the corn playdough mat is a fun way to practice some math skills, like counting and one-to-one correspondence.
