Welcome to Taming Little Monsters

Hello, I’m Michelle and I’m all about helping moms and educators with young children. Taming Little Monsters is filled with crafts and activities that are designed to teach kids, from 0 – 6 years, specific skills using a play based learning approach.

What you’ll find on Taming Little Monsters

I have a large collection of crafts and activities that cover a range of early learning areas, including:

  1. STEM
  2. Arts and Crafts
  3. Free Printables
  4. Sensory Activities
  5. Fine Motor Activities
  6. Easy DIY toys

I also love to group activities into themes, which are perfect to help you get organized if you work in an early years classroom. These include:

  1. Major holidays (e.g. Christmas or Halloween.)
  2. Seasons (e.g. Summer and Fall.)
  3. Year round favorites (e.g. Dinosaurs, Pirates or the Weather.)

A little bit about me

After graduating from high school I spent years working with toddlers and preschoolers in daycare settings and getting a Bachelor of Science. Since then I’ve become a mom of two monsters who love nothing more than turning my hair grey.

I thought that years spent working with young children had prepared me for motherhood. (You can laugh at that because boy was I wrong.) I needed the village to help me with my kids, and I found it. Online.

I didn’t have a circle of elders giving me their wisdom when my kids weren’t sleeping or being fussy eaters. Instead I had moms and teachers, from all over the world sharing their knowledge and ideas.

I can’t look after your kids for you while you catch up on some much needed sleep, but I can share my creativity with you.

If you’re looking for a way to connect with your child, at their level, try bonding over some of these fun and easy play ideas.
