Apple Stamping – Process Art for Fall

- Acrylic Paint in various colors
How to Make an Apple Stamping Art
1. Cut the apples in half.
When I originally did this activity with my kids, I liked having half an apple for each color. However this can be a waste of food, so you can always wash or wipe the paint off of the apple between each color instead.
2. Get the paint ready
Cover a plate or chopping board in foil to make cleaning up more easier. Then place the different colors of paint on the foil.
3. Dunk the apple halves in the paint and then press them onto the paper.
When doing stamping art activities, you’re going to need to weigh or stick the paper down. Otherwise the paper will lift with the apples every time you lift the apple up for the next color.
I covered our outdoor play table with butcher’s paper and then let the kids paint that. I liked how I didn’t have to worry about the paper lifting up when we didn’t want it to.
