How to Make a Craft Stick Monkey
Step 1. Make the monkey’s body
Line up four craft sticks. Cut the fifth craft stick in half and use it to glue the four original craft sticks together.
2. Turn over the craft sticks and paint them brown.
3. On a piece of brown construction paper, draw a face, stomach and ears with a brown sharpie.
When drawing the ear, make sure to have a section that extends further out. You’ll need this extra flap to attach the ear to the body of the monkey.
4. Cut the brown pipe cleaner into a tail, legs and arms.
⅓ of the pipe cleaner can make the tail. Then another ⅓ will become the arms, and the remaining ⅓ will be the legs.
Bend the ends of the arms and legs to make the feet and hands of the monkey. Curl the tail as much as you like.
5. When the paint is dry, glue the face and stomach onto the front of the monkey’s body.
6. Turn the monkey’s body over, and attach the ears, tail and limbs to the back of the monkey.
