1. Download and print the free download.

You can find the free printable paper doll templates below. Just click the large blue button to get your copy of the pdf files.

I like to print the dolls onto thicker paper, as this helps the dolls to be more sturdy. You can also print the dolls onto regular paper and then glue them onto a sheet of cardboard. This is a good alternative if you don’t have any sturdy card stock on hand.

2. Color in the different outfits.

If you want to, you can use colored pencils or markers to color in the black and white pages. This is perfect if your little girl wants to create their own outfits for their cute dolls.

3. Cut out the pieces.

Use a pair of scissors to cut out each of the paper doll designs and their clothes.

Cutting is a great way for kids to develop their fine motor skills. However some of these pieces are tricky, so if you have younger kids, you may need to do this step for them.

4. Fold over the tabs.

The tabs on the sides of the clothes are there to help attach the outfits to the dolls. Simply fold the tabs over so that they lay flat against the back of the paper doll.

5. Dress the dolls.

Pick an outfit and lay it over the doll. You can also use sticky putty to stick the tabs to the back of the doll so that the clothes stay in place.

6. Enjoy playing.

Now you can use your free printable doll to engage in some imaginative play.
