Fruit Stamp Art for Kids

Healthy eating for kids is one of the common struggles of being a parent. Every parent has had to fight with their kids about eating their fruit and vegetables. This Fruit Stamp Art is one kids art ideas that will help toddlers and preschoolers learn about all the different fruits and vegetables that they’ll see on their plates.

What I love the most about these stamps, is that you can wash them and use them again and again. So if healthy eating is a common theme in your classroom, you can use the same stamps with each new class you teach.

How to Make Fruit Stamp Art

Step 1. Draw a piece of fruit on the kitchen sponge.

2. Cut out your drawing and use hot glue to stick it onto an intact sponge.
I’ve tried using regular craft glue for these stamps but it was a disaster. Hot glue works perfectly and keeps the stamps together even when you wash it again and again.

3. Apply paint to the stamp and press it onto the paper.

You can either use a paintbrush to apply the paint directly to the stamp, or dip it onto paint that is spread over a container. It depends on what the child you’re painting with, and you, prefers.
