You can find the printable below. Just head to the bottom of the post and click the large blue button to download and print your copy.

Use a pair of scissors to cut each of the puzzles into their individual pieces. There are nine puzzles in total, each of which have three pieces.

3. Enjoy Playing

Now you’re all ready to learn some 2D shapes and practice matching.

How to Play

1. Mix up all the different puzzle pieces.

Start with all of the pieces mixed up. You want your young children to go through all of them and practice visual discrimination to find the right pieces.

2. Find all three pieces that have the same shape.

Each puzzle is made of three pieces. One with the snowman’s face, one with the buttons and arms, and one with the name of the shape written in the middle.

3. Place the shapes on top of each other.

Place the piece with the written name on the bottom, followed by the piece with the arms, and finally top it off with the snowman’s face.
