  1. Christmas Memory Game Cards
  2. Printer and paper
  3. Laminating machine
  4. Scissors
  5. Red paper (optional)
  6. Glue (optional)

1. Download and print the memory match game.

You’ll find the pdf file below. Just head to the bottom of the page and click the large blue button to get your free copy.

2. Glue the red paper to the back of the cards.

This step is optional. I did this to make sure that my kids couldn’t see the original pictures through the back of the cards. If you print your cards onto thick cardstock then you can skip this step.

3. Laminate each of the sheets.

Laminating the cards will help give them some extra stability, so that they’ll last though the whole season no matter how often your kids play with them.

4. Cut out each of the cards.

Use a pair of scissors to cut out each of the cards.

1. Shuffle and lay out the cards, face down.

You can arrange the cards however you like. While I like a classic grid pattern, my daughter loves to just place them wherever there is room.

2. Pick two cards and flip them over.

Choose two cards at random and turn them over so that the picture faces upwards.

3. If they don’t match, flip them back and try again.

If you have two different pictures, then flip both of the cards back over and give the next person a turn.

4. If they do match, remove the cards and keep playing.

If you have two cards that have the same picture, the person picks them up and removes them from the game.

Then the next person playing has a turn.

5. Repeat until all of the cards have been paired up.

Once all of the cards have been paired up the game is over. The winner is the person who has the most pairs of cards.
