Materials Needed
- Playdough
- Toothpicks
How to set up a Building Shapes STEM for Kids Activity
1. Roll the playdough into small balls.
Break the playdough apart and roll it into small balls. About an inch or so in diameter.
This is a great way to help kids develop ther fine motor skills while they play.
2. Use toothpicks to join the playdough balls together.
I love this STEM for preschoolers activity because you can create both 2D and 3D shapes using these two simple materials. Which means that both toddlers and preschoolers can have fun with this activity because you can make it more challenging depending on the abilities of the kids you teach.
