How to Make and Play with the Space Cutting Strips

Step 1. Download and print the free printable pdf found below.
2. Cut each of the strips into their separate components.
3. Encourage the kids to cut along the line from the rocket to the moon.
Alternative Ways to Play

Alternative ways to play include drawing or placing manipulatives (such as buttons) along the line. Each of these approaches encourage fine motor skills, as the children will need to practice pincer grip and hand-eye coordination to complete the task.
If you decide to use the strips this way instead, consider laminating them. This will make the strips more sturdy and reusable. Then it will be easy to prep the activity once, but be able to use it with different classes year after year.
