How to Make a Christmas Tree Sticky Wall Activity

Green wrapping paper, cut into a triangle christmas tree shape.

1. Cut your green wrapping paper into a large triangle.

I like to do all of my sticky wall activities on a large whiteboard that sits on my art easel. This is only because I personally don’t like attaching things to my walls and using a whiteboard instead is an easy way to do this fun activity without having to worry about my walls.

2. Cover the tree with sticky contact paper, with the sticky side of the contact paper facing upwards.

Use scotch tape to secure the contact paper in place if you are using a whiteboard like I did. If you do want to place this activity on your wall, use tape that won’t pull the paint off or leave a sticky residue behind.

3. Gather your materials.

There are so many different ways to decorate your sticky wall Christmas tree. What I personally love about sticky wall activities is that you can remove the ornaments and decorate this tree again and again.

The best part though, is that having their own Christmas tree and their own ornaments to play with, also means that your older babies and toddlers will be more likely to leave the real tree alone.

4. Place the ornaments onto the tree.

Having the tree on a vertical surface (like a wall), means that not only will your kids be developing their fine motor skills, but they’ll also be working on their upper body strength too.
