Easter Stamp Art for Kids

What I love the most about this Easter Stamp Art for Kids, is that the stamps are reusable. When I made them, I wanted them to be washable, so that I could pack them away and use them again next year with a new class. These DIY stamps are a little more effort than just using regular potato stamps, but I love how I you use them again and again.

Easter Egg Stamp Painting – A fun and easy process art activity for toddlers and preschoolers. Turn plastic easter eggs into stamps and let your kids make as many circles as they want.

Toilet Roll Flowerpot Easter Egg Holder – Learn how to turn a regular toilet roll into a tiny flower pot. One that is the perfect size for Easter eggs. Add some bunny feet to your easter eggs and it suddenly looks like an Easter bunny is stuck, headfirst, in your flower pot.

How to Make Easter Stamp Art for Kids

Step 1: Cut each of your sponges into half. On one half, draw the picture you want to make a stamp of.

2. Cut out and glue the pieces onto the other side of the sponge.

I used different colored sponges for the picture and the back of each stamp. But I did this to more easily demonstrate the process of making the stamps. You can use the same color for each stamp if you prefer.

3. Paint the stamps directly with a paintbrush, or spread paint over a plate and dab the sponge onto the plate.

I gave the kids paint brushes, so that if they wanted a particular part of the stamp to be a certain color, it was easier to do.

4. Turn the stamp over and press it onto the paper.

5. Repeat and enjoy.

When everything was finished I washed the sponges and was so please to see how the paint washed out so easily. Even after everything was dried the sponges were ready to be used again, just as planned.
