Spring Sensory Activities for Kids
Here are some more Spring themed sensory play ideas. Fun way for toddlers and preschoolers to explore this wonderful season.
DIY Toddler Garden – Have you got any of those fake flowers at home? If you cut them apart they are perfect for planting in the ground. They’re easy, cheap, and sturdy enough to give your toddlers their own garden to play in.

Step 1: Grab a large tub and fill it with water.

2. Walk around the garden and pick some flowers that you don’t mind the kids playing with.
My kids have been having a lot of fun lately picking flowers (even when I tell them not to). This sensory bin started when I was presented with a handful of flowers that I didn’t want to be picked.
Instead of mourning the loss of my colorful garden, I decided to add to my list of sensory activities for kids. After all, the damage was done, and you can’t really get angry with a baby and a toddler who don’t know any better.
3. Place the petals, or whole flower heads into the tub of water.
4. Pour, scoop, mix and enjoy playing.
Next time, I’m going to add a fruit tea bag to the water. I think that the smell and taste of the tea will add an extra dimension to this sensory play idea.
