  1. White cardstock

  3. Red paint
  4. Plastic fork
  5. Small bowl (optional)
  6. Pencil (optional)
Hand, tracing a circle shape around a bowl.

1. Place a bowl, or a small paper plate, upside down, in the center of your paper.

2. Use a pencil to trace a circle around the bowl.

These two steps are optional. I used this circle as a guide for my young children to follow when creating their wreaths. If you are doing this cute Christmas craft with older kids, they will be able to make the circle themselves, without the need for a starting point to follow.

3. Dip the back of your fork in green paint, and use it to spread the paint around the circle.

We had a great time trying fork painting instead of using a regular paint brush for this easy craft. It was a fun way to get that messy effect while trying something new.

4. Dip your finger in red paint, and create dots around your wreath.

This is a great way to make some red berries. However you can also try using:

  1. red pom poms,
  2. scrunched up tissue paper
  3. red jingle bells

5. Let it dry.

One thing that I wish I had done differently in this easy Christmas craft, was to attach a red ribbon at the bottom of the wreath. I think this would have been another way for young kids to make their art project unique and personalized.
