Free Printable Halloween Board Game for Kids
This Halloween Board Game is a fun way to get kids to practice turn taking, patience, and a little bit of math. It’s a wonderful free printable that you can use at home or in the classroom this spooky season.
The Halloween board game is super simple because it’s designed for kids aged 3 and up. It’s a great way to introduce toddlers and preschoolers to board games without needing to read any cards or follow complex rules.

Adult supervision is required for all activities at all times. Some of the links provided in this blog are affiliate links. I will be paid a commission if you use this link to make a purchase.

How to Play this Halloween Board Game
1. Place the buttons at the start

Get each player to choose a piece (like a button or a mini eraser) and place them on the circle with the word “start” in the center.
2. Roll the dice

One player rolls the dice. You can also use two dice if you want your kids to practice addition with each of their turns.
3. Move forwards
Move your button forward the same number of squares as is indicated on the dice.
Then give the dice to the next person to have a turn.
4. Landing on a subtraction square

Some squares have a “- number” written on them. This indicated that whoever lands on the square gets to go backwards another few squares.
For example, if you land on a -3 then you must move backwards another three spaces. If you land on a -5, you must move backwards another five spaces.
5. Landing on an addition square

Some squares have a “+ number” written on them. This indicated that whoever lands on the square gets to go forward another few squares without needing to roll the dice again.
For example, if you land on a +2 then you can move forward another two spaces. If you land on a +4 you can move forward another four spaces.
6. The first one to reach “finish” is the winner.

Each player will take a turn rolling the dice, and moving their piece forwards until someone lands, or passes the “finish” line.
The first player to reach the finish line wins!
