Easy Handprint Ghost Craft for Kids

Materials Needed

White paper
Purple or black construction paper
Pen
Scissors
Glue
Black Marker

How to Make a Handprint Ghost Craft

1. Place your hand on a sheet of white paper and draw around it.

If you are doing this activity with young children, you can also use white paint, instead of white paper to make your handprint ghosts.

2. Cut out the handprint.

Younger kids, like toddlers and preschoolers may need help with this step. However older kids should be able to cut out more complex shapes by themselves.

3. Glue the handprint onto your background.

I used a piece of purple construction paper as the background for my ghost picture. However you can use any color that you like. Black, orange, or a dark blue would all look wonderful.

4. Draw the ghost’s face.

I used a black marker to draw a pair of eyes as well as an open mouth for my ghost. But of course, you can do what you feel like. This step is a wonderful opportunity to let your kids express their own unique ideas.
