How to Make the Spring Flowers Math Game
1. Download the Spring Flowers Math Game PDF
You can find a copy of the game below. Just head to the bottom of the post and click the large blue buttn to get your copy.
2. Print off the game, and laminate it.
You don’t have to laminate the game. This is optional.
However, if you’re doing this activity with a class and plan on keeping it for next year too, then laminating the game will make it more sturdy and reusable.

3. Grab some dice, some bee or ladybug manipulatives, and enjoy playing.
I got these bees and ladybugs from a craft shop, I like the idea of the bees going from flower to flower and giving me a chance to teach a bit of bee science at the same time. However, you can use erasers, buttons, or whatever you have on hand.
How to Play
1. Roll the dice.
2. Count the number of dots, and say the number facing upwards. For children who are ready, use two dice and do some simple addition.

3. Move your manipulative forwards, one flower for each number. Eg, roll a 4 and move forward four flowers.
4. Practice taking turns, or repeat until you’ve reached the finish.
