  4. A large bowl

How to Make Valentine’s Day Glitter Slime

1. Empty glue bottle into your large bowl.

If you don’t have Elmer’s glitter glue you can also use regular clear glue and add the pink glitter and pink food coloring separately.

2. Add baking soda to the glue mixture and stir.

3. Add the contact solution and stir.

Remember that your contact solution needs to have boric acid in it, or the slime reaction won’t work. The Renu brand of contact solution is perfect for this. Or you can simply use the Elmer’s glue ready made slime activator solution.

4. Tip the slime mixture onto a flat surface and knead until the slime forms.

5. Enjoy playing.

Tips and Tricks

1. If you want your slime to be super stretchy, you can also add in a bit of water. Add about 1/4 cup of water to your glue mixture during step 1 to make your slime even more stretchy.

2. If your slime is too sticky, then add a little bit of baking soda to it. But remember, that in the beginning this easy slime recipe will be more sticky, because the reaction hasn’t completely finished. It will slowly become less sticky as time goes on.

3. Store your batch of slime in an airtight container so that you can play with it again and again. Your valentines slime will keep for a few weeks if stored properly.

You can also add all sorts of additional items to your glitter slime recipe. I think that some red heart confetti would be a wonderful addition to this Valentine slime recipe.
