  3. Yellow paint
  4. Paintbrush

1. Download and print the free handprint angel template.

Print the angel handprint craft template onto some white cardstock. There are a couple of different skin tone angels included in the printable, so you can pick whichever one works best for your family.

You can find the free printable below, just head to the bottom of the post and click the large blue button to get your copy.

2. Cover your hand in paint.

Use a paintbrush to apply paint to the palm and fingers of your child’s little hands.

Of course, you can use whatever color paint you like for the angel’s wings. We chose yellow, but letting your kids pick different colors is a great way to let them express their own unique personalities.

3. Press your hand to the page.

Turn the hand over and press it down on one side of the page, without wiggling the fingers.

I found that the easiest way to make the handprint wings was to line the bottom of the palm up with the side of the angel’s body.

4. Lift up your hand and let the paint dry.

Carefully lift up the hand, trying not to smudge the hand prints as you do.

5. Repeat steps 2 – 4 with the other hand.

Use your child’s other hand to make matching handprint angel wings. Then let the paint dry.
