How to Make a Bee Cut and Paste Craft

Step 1. Download and print the digital file found below.

2. Decorate your bee however you like.

We decided to paint our bees. However you can also use crayons, yellow and black paper or any other craft supplies that strike your fancy. There is no set way to make these adorable bumble bees craft, which means you can end up with something completely unique and wonderful.

3. Cut out the bee’s head, each of the bee’s wings, and the bee’s body.

These shapes are very simple to cut out and should be easy enough for preschoolers who are developing fine motor skills. However, toddlers, or those still new to working on their scissor skills may need an adult’s help.

4. Glue the parts of the bee onto some white paper, or together.

I started by gluing the wings down first, roughly in the middle of the paper. Followed by the body of the bee, right in between the wings. And finally, I finished by gluing the head of the bee on top of the body.

Another option is to stick all of the bee parts together using sticky tape and then attach them onto popsicle sticks. This is a fun way to turn your adorable bee crafts into puppets, which can go buzzing around your classroom once the kids have finished making them.

5. The final step of your honey bee craft is to draw your bee’s face.

I used paint pens to draw the mouth and bee’s eyes, mainly because that’s what I had on hand. However, this would be the perfect time to use a pair of googly eyes and a little bit of red pipe cleaner for the smile.
