Adorable Egg Carton Snowman Craft for Kids

4. Black and orange marker
5. Ribbon

How to make an Egg Carton Snowman Craft

1. Make the snowman’s body

To make the body of your cute snowman craft, start by cutting out three egg cups from the egg carton. Make sure that the egg carton section you choose is arranged in a single long line (aka, on top of each other), and that they stay connected to each other.

Paint the egg cups white using acrylic or tempera paint.

Let the paint dry before moving on to the next step.

2. Draw a face and buttons

I used a black sharpie to draw the eyes, mouth and buttons. However, you could also use googly eyes for this fun craft instead. Or maybe hot glue some mini pom poms onto your egg carton snowmen instead of black buttons.

There are also a lot of other ways to make this easy egg carton snowman craft unique.

1. Make him a top hat out of construction paper
2. Make a carrot nose out of orange pipe cleaner instead of drawing it on.
3. Glue pom-poms and some pipe cleaners together to make a pair of ear muffs for your adorable snowman to wear.

3. Make the arms

For each of the snowmans arms for this fun art project, you need 1 long and 1 short section of brown pipe cleaner.

Bend the short pipe cleaner in half, and wrap it around one end of the long piece of pipe cleaner. Like in the pictures above, you can see how it not looks like the arm has three fingers.

If you don’t want to, or don’t have brown pipe cleaners. Don’t worry. Just head outside and collect some twigs that are the right size for your cute little snowmen.

4. Put it all together

Take your arms, and attach them to the side of the snowman using sticky tape or hot glue.

Take a short piece of ribbon and wrap it around your snowman’s neck, making it look like a scarf.

If you like, you can also use school glue to attach your snowman to a piece of craft paper and turn this egg carton craft into a snowman card. Or get some string and hang it on the Christmas tree along with your other Christmas decorations.

No matter how you make these easy snowman crafts, kids of all ages are going to have so much fun making these this holiday season.
