How to Make Halloween Lacing Cards

1. Download and print the free printable found below.
I love free printables for kids, and lacing cards is one of my favorites. These are great because they’re easy to make and store away for next year’s class.
2. Laminate each of the pages.
Laminating the cards makes them more sturdy and easy to wipe clean. If you prefer you can glue each of the pictures onto a piece of thick cardboard instead.

3. Cut out each picture and use a hole punch to make the holes.
I like to laminate the entire page before cutting each of the cards with scissors. This just eliminates the need to cut, laminate and then cut again.

4. Tie a shoelace through one of the holes.
This is optional. I like to tie a piece of string to each lacing card because then it doesn’t get lost. If you only have limited shoelaces, then leave them free and so that you can swap the same shoelaces between your different sets of themed lacing cards.

5. Enjoy playing.
Encourage your toddlers and preschoolers to lace and pull the end of a shoelace through each of the holes around the card.
