How to Make a Handprint Santa Craft
You can also make this adorable Santa handprint craft using white paint instead of white paper. Paint is another fun way to make hand print art with kids if you don’t mind a little bit of mess.
1. Download and print Santa’s face.

Download and print the printable template onto a sheet of white cardstock.
You can find the link for the free template below. Just head to the bottom of the post and click the large blue button to get your copy.
2. Trace around your child’s hand.

Place your child’s hand over the white paper and use a pen to trace around their fingers and palm.
You can choose if you want to use one handprint or two for this cute craft. The more handprints you use, the more full Santa’s beard will look.
3. Cut out the handprint.

Use a pair of scissors to cut out each of the handprints.
Older kids will be able to do this step by themselves. However, if you’re doing this craft with young kids (like toddlers or preschoolers), they may need an adult to help them.
4. Glue the handprints down.

Spread glue over the back of the handprints and place them along the bottom of Santa’s face.
One thing I didn’t think of until after I had finished making these, was to roll each of the fingers so that it looks like a curl. If you want to try this, then only glue down the palms of each handprint, then take a pair of scissors and run it along each finger to make it look like a curly lock of hair.
5. Additional ideas to try.
Since you’ve got the glue out, you can also try gluing some cotton balls or a pom pom to the white parts of Santa’s hat.
You can also print the page onto an A3 sheet of paper, fold it in half and turn it into a Christmas card.
Or take a black marker and get your kids to write a Christmas wish on each of their fingers. This is a great way to give parents a list of possible gift ideas for the holiday season.
