Cutting Strips

There are two different types of cutting strips included in this digital download. One has the classic pathways for young children to follow with their scissors. This is suitable for preschoolers who already have some cutting skills.

The other type of cutting strips is simply a set of Valentine’s themed pictures. These are perfect for toddlers and those who are only just learning how to use scissors. As they will only need to make simple, straight lines to cut all of the pictures apart.

Fine Motor Mats

You can also use these cutting strips as fine motor mats. Instead of using scissors to cut along the pathway, you can line up manipulatives (like mini erasers) along the line instead.

Picking up and placing small objects is still a great way to help young kids develop fine motor skills. It also has the added bonus of making these mats reusable.
