Materials Needed

White paper
Black paint
Pen
Paint brushes
Scissors
Glue
Q-tips (cut in half)

How to Make a Handprint Skeleton Craft

1. Place your child’s hand on top of a piece of paper.

For this craft, I recommend placing the hand near to the top of the page and including as much of the arm as will fit.

2. Trace around your child’s hand and arm.

3. Paint the handprint outline in black paint.

If you don’t have any black paint on hand, you can always make the handprint using black paper instead.

4. Let the paint dry.

5. Glue q-tips onto the hand.

The q-tips represent the bones in the hand. Lay them over the arm, palm and fingers and then glue them into place.

Cut the cotton tips in half first, so that they’re not too big for the small handprint a child will make.
