How to Make a Paper Cup Hot Chocolate Craft

1. Paint your paper cup.

Pick whatever color you like and paint the outside of your paper cup.

While I just kept my cups a single color. This is the perfect opportunity to let your kids get creative and decorate their cups whichever way they like. For example, you can always draw patterns onto the paint using acrylic paint pens.

2. Bend the pipe cleaner into a handle shape.

I tried a couple of different handle shapes. However a simple semi circle was the easiest and is what I would recommend if you are doing this easy craft with young children.

3. Use sticky tape to attach the handle to the paper cup.

4. Cut a square of brown paper.

I used regular butcher’s paper. However, if you don’t have any brown paper handy, you can always use regular paper and then paint it brown afterwards.

5. Scrunch the brown paper into a ball and place it inside the paper cup.

6. Glue some pom poms onto the top of the paper.

These will be the marshmallows in your craft, so you can add as many pom pom as you like.
