Are you looking for Christmas sensory activities for kids? Here are some of the best Christmas-themed sensory play ideas that toddlers and preschoolers will love. Roll up your sleeves for some fun and easy kids play ideas to try this December.
Fake Snow Sensory Bin – This snow exceeded all of my expectations. I just couldn’t believe how wonderfully soft and moldable it was. My kids also spent hours playing with it, and loved it so much that it’s now something that I do regularly with them.
Jingle Bells Sensory Bin – Get musical with this Jingle Bells Sensory Bin. I love trying kids Christmas activities that include jingle bells, because they add a lovely audible component that the kids just love.
Christmas Decorations Sensory Bin – How does your Christmas tree look right now? The bottom half of mine is completely bare. The kids just love taking the decorations off, playing with them, and then forgetting to put them back on the tree. So I made a sensory bin that’s all about Christmas decorations. With this to play with, the kids can finally leave the tree alone.

How to set up a Rainbow Rice Christmas Sensory Bin
Setting up this Christmas Sensory Bin is really easy. I already had green rainbow rice from my spring garden sensory bin, which I placed in a large plastic tub first. I then placed the candy canes, holly, and Christmas lights over the top of the rice.
Finally, I gave the kids some bowls, cups, and spoons to practice scooping and pouring the rice.
The kids had fun making necklaces with the Christmas lights, pretending the candy canes were candles on top of their rainbow rice cake, or feeling how prickly the holly leaves were.
