How to Make a Snowflake Sticky Wall Activity

1. Draw a snowflake onto a whiteboard.

Using a whiteboard is optional. I prefer to do all of my sticky wall activities on a whiteboard instead of the wall because I don’t like sticking things to my wall unless necessary.

However, if this isn’t something that worries you, you can always draw a snowflake onto your contact paper and then attach that directly to the wall instead.

2. Cover the snowflake with contact paper.

Make sure that the sticky side of the contact paper is facing outwards.

3. Cut your blue paper into small squares.

Young children will be able to help you with this step. They can either tear the paper or use scissors. Both of which are a great way to help toddlers and preschoolers develop fine motor skills.

4. Place your whiteboard onto an easel and enjoy playing.

Now your kids can simply place the blue paper over the lines of the snowflake to make their own picture.

I used different colors of blue paper because it’s what I had on hand. However there are a lot of different things you can use for your sticky wall activity. You may also want to try:

  1. Cotton wool
  2. Sequins
  3. Buttons
  4. Yarn
