How to Make a 3D Haunted House Craft

1. Download and print the free printable templates

You can find the free printables below, there are three different houses for you to enjoy. Just head to the bottom of the page and click the large blue button to get your copy.

2. Color in the pictures.

I used colored pens to decorate my haunted house. However you can use whatever you like, pencils, crayons or paint. This is a wonderful opportunity to let your kids use their imagination and come up with their own fun ways to decorate their house template.

3. Cut along the continuous lines.

Use a pair of scissors to cut along the unbroken line around the outer edge of the house model. Younger children, like preschoolers, may need an adult to help them with this step if their fine motor skills are still developing.

4. Fold along the dotted lines.

Fold along the dotted lines, which indicate there the paper needs to bend in order to make the 3D haunted house.

5. Glue the sides together.

I used double sided adhesive tape to stick the sides of my own haunted house together. However you can also use hot glue, glue dots or regular sticky tape for this step.

6. Enjoy

Now you can use this paper craft to decorate your house for the spooky season. It’s a great way to get your kids involved in all of the fun this time of year.
