Materials Needed

  1. Printer and paper
  2. Colored pencils

How to Use Subitizing Color by Number Pages

1. Download and print the pages

Download the digital file at the bottom of the post. All you need to do is click the large blue button to get your copy.

2. Pick a Color

Look at the top section of the page and pick one color. Then, see which number is associated with that color.

For example, on this page orange represents the number ten.

3. Find the Matching Number

Look for all the different ways that number is represented on the bottom section of the page. 

For example, on this page there are three different ways that the number ten is represented.

4. Color in the Space

Use a colored pencil to color in the space labelled by that number.

5. Repeat with all the Colors.

Repeat steps 1-4 for all of the different colors on the sheet. When you are finished, you’ll be able to see the picture hidden in the middle of the page.
