How to Make the Pyramid Cup Game
1. Download and print the PDF

The free printable cards and cup labels are contained in a single digital file found below. All you need to do is head to the bottom of the post and click the large blue button to get your copy.
2. Cut out the Cards

Use a pair of scissors to cut out each of the individual cards and cup labels.
3. Laminate the Cards
This step is optional, but highly recommended. If you are doing this activity in a classroom setting, laminating the cards will make them durable enough to use with the entire class for years to come.
4. Attach the Numbers to the Cups

This step is also optional. If you have white paper cups like I did, you can always use a black marker to simply write the numbers on each of the cups.
5. Set up your Math Center

If more than one student is going to use this activity at the same time, you’ll need more than 10 paper cups. I recommend at least 10 cups total (2 of each number) in your cup collection for each station.
How to Play
1. Pick A Card and look at each individual cup.

Pick any of the random pyramid cards and set it on the table in front of you.
Start with the bottom row of cups, identifying which number each cup has represented on it.
2. Find the paper cup with the matching number.

After you’ve identified the number on the card, find the paper cup that has the matching numeral on its side.
3. Put the cup in the corresponding place in the pyramid.

Place the matching cup in the corresponding place in the cup pyramid.
For example, on this card, the number 4 needs to be in the middle position on the bottom row of the pyramid.
4. Repeat until all the cups are done.

Start with the bottom row of cups, then move onto the middle row and finally the top cup to complete the pyramid.
